I think this blog should be retitled to eradicating all the life in Willapa Bay because the oyster industry doesn’t like it.
And I think its time for people to realize that oysters don’t simply filter all the pesticides that have been used, the ones we know of, eg carbaryl, glyphosate, imazapyr, imzamox and imadicloprid.
And scientist chris grue discovered that glyphosate got stuck in the gonads of willapa bay oysters in 2003. He stated that it was below what FDA says is tolerable for consumption but does that make you feel any better. The FDA standards for oysters allows higher levels of the chemicals named above than it does for apples and pears et al.

Now that the WHO says Roundup is “probably carcinogenic” maybe carpet poisoning of Willapa Bay can be curtailed.
